HOSA
Five students advanced to nationals after competing in the State HOSA conference. Those students were: Ivette Hernandez who won 1st place in Clinical Nursing, Jessica Gutierrez who won 2nd in Pharmacology, Susana Portillo who won 1st in Nursing Assistant, Anissa Bravo who won 3rd in Home Health Aid and Bianca Ulloa who won 1st in Home Health Aid. Nationals will be in Nashville, Tennessee from June 24th- 27th.

Ms. Ross - Teacher of the Year
Teachers chose English instructor, Jillian Ross, for the 2009-2010 teacher of the year. She has finaled as one of the top 10 teachers in the Ysleta Independent School District.

Bataan March
Feet struggle against the resisting sand, muscles contract with effort, and bodies move through mountainous terrain. On March 29, three cadet teams from Bel Airís JROTC program faced these obstacles in this weekend Bataan Death March at White Sands Missile Range, N.M. The two male teams took first and the female team took second in the JROTC division and the all female civilian team division.

Bel Air Drum line
Bel Air has yet another accomplishment to be proud of and look forward to. The drum line, after competing last month in Denver, Colorado won first place at Regional’s. This win ranked them 6th in the Nation making them eligible to compete at Nationals in Dayton, Ohio next week.
