Varsity basketball boys keep up winning streak
The varsity boys basketball team continue their streak and are now 26-0 and 10-0 in district play. They capped off a win over District 2-5A opponent, Hanks High School by a score of 53-42. With that win, the Highlanders have now tied last years win totals with 26.

Junior guard Sergio Enriquez is confident in his team.
“All we need to do is keep winning and close out the season on a high note. We’ve played great out- of -town teams, and that has helped us a lot,” Enriquez said.
Junior forward Isaiah Aguilera said was confident since the start.
“Even though Del Valle kept it close throughout the game, I knew that we would close them out.”
Senior forward, Michael Gutierrez is hopeful for a long playoff run. “We have all the players and attributes a championship team should have, and I ask this question to myself before every game, ‘Why not us.’That pushes my team and myself to play at the best of our abilities,” Gutierrez said.
The Highlanders have yet another test Friday night when they play the Parkland Matadors. They beat Parkland earlier in the season by a score of 61-49 and want to complete the season sweep. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. at Dibler Gym.
Bel Air has four district games left to play. They have beat all teams once already by a fair margin. Parkland is just another team in the way of a perfect 30-0 record.
