‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ Review
A great album that everyone should listen to, “Beauty Behind the Madness,” is the second studio album released by The Weeknd. This album can definitely be considered one of the greatest of 2015.
The Weeknd clearly is no longer the mysterious R&B artist who took the world by storm in 2011. He’s now in the spotlight and is making music no one would have expected years ago. With the release of “Beauty Behind The Madness,” Abel Tesfaye otherwise known as The Weeknd, shocked the whole world. The album is essentially The Weeknd’s acceptance of stardom.
In Beauty Behind The Madness, every song tells a story about Abel’s personal experiences, which gives it a certain substance to the music that most other artists do not have. The album starts with “Real Life”, which talks about his past mistakes and balancing the real him vs. the mega pop star people want him to be. The album then spills into “Losers” which basically discredits the school system because he was a high school dropout himself. The songs “Often,” “Earned It,” “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face” give the album a ton of energy.
After these songs, the album then slows down a bit with the songs “Shameless,” “In The Night” and “Dark Times”. The Weekend displays his R&B side on these songs and the listener can clearly see that he is not shying away from his Michael Jackson comparisons, but using them to his advantage instead.
By the end of the 65 minutes that makes up “Beauty Behind The Madness,” the listener can see why The Weekend chose to make this album the way he did.
In conclusion, this album can definitely be considered one of the best albums of 2015. The album can be purchased at any major retail store that sells electronics, music, etc. Stores such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Target sell the album. Beauty Behind The Madness can also be downloaded and streamed online at various websites. Everybody should go out and give it a listen.
