The varsity boys basketball team is now 31-0, and they have clinched the Bi-District championship beating Burges high school by the score the score of 45-36 Tuesday.

“We started off kind of slow in the first half. We went into halftime, made our defensive adjustments, and it paid off. All that mattered is that we got the dub.”
Junior guard Sergio Enriquez agrees with Gutierrez.
“Although we went into halftime trailing Burges, we never lost hope or composure. Our senior veteran captains led the the charge and helped us seal the win.”
To add to that, junior forward Isaiah Aguilera had some positives to say about the game.
“A lot of calls did not go our way, but we didn’t let that get to us. We continued to play Bel Air basketball and that helped us get the win.”
The Highlanders will face Canyon Randall in the area round of the playoffs today. They will play in Seminole, Texas. Tip off is set for 5 p.m MDT. The Highlanders are on the quest for the state championship and the Canyon Randall Raiders are just another team standing in the way of the title that they desperately covet.
