‘Game of Thrones’ review
The highly anticipated sixth season of the hit HBO show “Game of Thrones,” which has been able to masterfully create a story like no other, premiered on April 30 as a recorded 10.7 million people tuned in to watch.
Starting where the last season ended, the episode focuses on closing the open-ended scenes it left fans with in the last season.
The episode is surely not the best, but it’s importance is significant. It not only concludes past scenes but sets up future episodes.The episode itself was not action-packed, but it did reveal of several new characters who will play an important role in the coming season. “Game of Throne”s is now a world-renowned show since starting five years ago.
The TV show is based on George R.R. Martin’s best selling novel “A Song of Fire and Ice,” a novella depicting the happenings of a world of magic and kings.
The show earned a following of many fans dedicated to the show. These fans cite the action-packed, plot-twisting, and character-killing themes that make the show worth watching.
The show, which cost $6 million an episode according to Screenrant.com, has been praised for everything from acting to costume and set design. With dedication to all the little details the show manages to fully immerse fans into the world of “Game of Thrones.”
The special effects the show is known for is what can only be described as blockbuster worthy. Scenes contained in past seasons that lasted less than six minutes were shot for days.
Not only that but the fact that the show itself is shot in several locations in different continents shows just how much work is put into the series.
With much anticipation for the upcoming season, fans look forward to watch the show that will air every Sunday till its 10th episode on June 26.
