Taylor Swift has become even more popular since she first made her debut back in 2006 with her very own personal cover of Tim McGraw’s “Teardrops On My Guitar.” Having already previously released three studio albums (“Taylor Swift”, “Fearless”, and “Speak Now”) Swift has become one of the most popular country musicians of our time. Swift is growing even more popular as Oct. 22 the date set to release her latest album “Red” approaches.

In fact “Red” has already begun to break records all over the world. The lead single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which was released back in August, has become the fastest selling single and the biggest selling single in a week by any woman in music history. It’s just one of those tunes where to it’s relatable lyrics can be easily be sung along to. This song seems has become an anthem of any troubled relationship. “We Are Never Getting Back Together” is obviously about a relationship Swift had there was lots of conflict where she felt overwhelmed and just had to call it off after trying to do so multiple times; which she mentions multiple time with verses such as ” I remember when you broke up …the first time…” and ” I’m really gonna miss you picking fights and me falling for them screaming that I’m right…”. Verses like these cause fans to believe that the song is about Swift’s former boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, one of many relationships of Swift’s.

Later on Sept. 8, Swift decided to promote her album by unleashing her charity single entitled “Ronan,” which brings attention to cancer awareness. The tune tells the listeners of a tale about a 4-year-old boy named Ronan who lost his battle against cancer. The song was written after Swift had read Maya Thomson’s blog, the mother of Ronan, who later co-wrote the track “Ronan.”

Swift, herself fights to hold back the tears as she sings the tear-jerking track.

Further down on Sept. 25, Swift released her single “Begin Again” in order to promote the count down until her album hits stores and iTunes. “Begin Again” clearly explains how rough it is for somebody to go out on that first date after having to dust yourself off because they have been in a horrible relationship and dealing with that heart breaking relationship. The sound of “Begin Again” seems to be presented by Swift’s calm down country origins. This tune is just one of those works of art that can cause anybody to sit back and get lost in thought about the words Swift verbalizes that crosses everyone’s mind every now and then.

Then on Oct.2, the single “Red” was released off the album. This is another song is about another one of Swift’s relationship, but unlike the meanings in “We Are Never Getting Back Together” and “Begin Again,” “Red” seems to give off a message that is about the all those “butterflies” and “roller coaster” feelings that everybody come across when being in a relationship. Swift incorporates the symbolism of colors that are generally supposed help express emotions such as the chorus “Losing him was blue like I’d never known, missing him was dark grey all alone, forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met, but loving him was red.” Swift cleverly manages to make this simple track into a catchy song that is sure to be stuck in the minds of her audiences.

Just recently the single “I Knew You Were Trouble” was released after Swift performed it on Oct. 8. The track features a new acoustic pop sound that somehow Swift manages to pull of into a huge success. “I Knew You Were Trouble” is about another relationship of Swift’s that seems to have been filled with deceit. Lyrics such as ” Once upon a time, a few mistakes ago…” “No apologies, he’ll never see you cry, pretend he doesn’t know that he’s the reason why….” and “And I realize the joke is on me….” causes the listeners to understand the distress and puts them in her shoes. The track may have a sad meaning behind it but one can’t help but to get caught into Swift’s melody and sing along.

As of Oct. 22, “Red” will go on sale meaning Swift will become even more popular with her carefully crafted masterpieces. Each track seems to have been written from scratch with their very own developed sound to stand out from each other. It will be hard to find for a while due to her fans taking any chance to get the hands on the musical talents of Taylor Swift. “Red” looks as if it is going to open many doors of Swift as a new chapter of her life begins to start.
